LRS provides Plato Township with residential services for garbage, recycling, and yard waste. LRS offers many other services for Plato Township residents including an annual electronic waste event, portable restrooms, and large open top construction style containers.

Will accept most electronics such as DVD players, printers, fax machines, computers, etc. They do not accept televisions.
Will pick up electronics or appliances when you have a new product delivered for $19.99. They will pick up large appliances or televisions without the purchase of a new product, for $99.99, and they will take 2 televisions, or 2 appliances, or one of each for that fee. Best Buy will also accept televisions in store for a $25.00 fee. Size limit for in store drop off is 32” for the old tube style television, and 50” for a flat screen television
Recycle old working refrigerator or freezer and get paid for it. ComEd will pick up your old working refrigerator or freezer and pay you $50.00. They will pick up as many as 2 units and pay $50.00 each, and will also pay $10.00 for each working dehumidifier or room air conditioner.
The LRS Elburn Transfer Station will accept e-waste items! They’re located at 1N138 Linlar Dr, Elburn. They have to go through our customer service to submit a request/drop off. I recommend sending an email with E-Waste Drop Off Request Elburn Transfer Station in the subject line title, to Service@LRSrecycles.com and cc JKraber@LRSrecycles.com.
Residents will need to prepay for TV or Computer monitor. Otherwise any other e-waste item is accepted for no charge, up to 7 items. Kane County has several drop off locations you can offer and I recommend putting this link on your website too! :

Liberty will take tractor tires they charge between 45 and $99 per tire depending on the size. The hours of operation are Monday through Thursday. 9 - 12:00 pm and 12:30pm to 2:00 PM.
Kane County offers residents in unincorporated Plato Township one curbside pick-up oh household hazardous waste.
